Website and Visibility — What's Included

For a site that works but isn't being found, read, or looked at.

Most small business sites are not broken. They are invisible, or they are unclear, or they look like nobody has touched them since launch. Those are different problems with different fixes, and each one is priced on its own, so you pay only for what you actually have.

This page sets out exactly what each one produces and where it stops.

This service is for existing clients. I take website work from people I am already doing other work for — documents, communications, positioning. If we have not worked together yet, start with the work you actually came for, and this is available to you afterwards.

What you receive

Site audit and written findings — $650

Every page checked and a written report: what is wrong, where, and what it would take to fix, with the exact element named on the exact page. No changes are made to your site. If you only want to know where you stand, this line stands on its own.

On-page fixes — $95 per page, minimum five

Page titles and descriptions rewritten to the length search engines actually display. Heading structure corrected so each page has one real title and a readable outline underneath. Alt text written for every image that carries information, and images that carry none marked as decorative.

Technical corrections — $450

Structured data corrected so your business is described accurately. Sitemap and robots file checked. Broken links found and fixed. Dead URLs redirected instead of returning errors.

Search engine set-up — $450

Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools set up and verified. Sitemap submitted to both. Indexing requested for every page. This is the work that gets a site looked at in the first place, and it is charged separately because it is separate work.

Copy rewritten — $250 per page, minimum three · $1,150 for a site up to five pages

Your existing copy rewritten so a stranger understands what you do on one read, in your voice rather than a template's. What you supply is the truth about your business; what comes back is that, said clearly.

New page written from research — $650

A page built from nothing on a subject your buyers actually search for. Researched, written, structured and published. Not a rewrite of something you already have.

Images placed and balanced across the site — $650

Placement and balance of images across the site. New artwork, where you need it, at the standard rates — $150 a mark or motif, $350 composed, $750 a fully personalized original.

Full repair, site up to 10 pages — $1,950 · 11 to 25 pages — $3,400

The audit, on-page fixes, technical corrections and search engine set-up together. Taken separately those come to about $2,500 for a ten-page site.

You receive a written record of every change: what it was, what it is now, and why.

Where the work stops

Being findable is not the same as being known. A site that is correctly built and correctly indexed can still be seen by almost nobody. Search sends people who are already looking for what you do, and in the first months there are very few of those. What brings work is people who already know you — your own contacts, your professional network, and anyone willing to point someone toward you. If you have no list and no referral sources, repairing the site will not create them. This work makes you findable by the people who look. It does not make people look.

This is technical and editorial repair, not a marketing campaign. No ranking is promised, no traffic figure is promised, and anyone who promises you either is guessing. What is promised is that the specific defects keeping a site from being read properly are found, listed, and fixed — and that you can check every one of them afterwards.

Nothing is rebuilt from scratch. If a site needs replacing rather than repairing, you are told that before any money changes hands.

Built on Wix at the prices above. Squarespace, WordPress and other platforms are looked at first and quoted — the work is the same, the time is not.

Images you supply must be ones you own or have written permission to use. I take that as given and do not verify it.

Generated images are supplied for your use. They are not registrable as your copyright, and I make no claim that they are unique to you.

Content is yours. Facts about your business come from you and are used as you supply them.

The left column is what your site shows — measurable, checkable, and true on the day it is written.

The right column belongs to Google and to your market, and nobody controls either.

Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you the second column.

What the fee covers

The price is for the work described above on the site as it stands, done once and done properly. It includes one round of corrections after delivery.

It covers the time, the judgment and the written record. It does not cover anything you pay a third party for — hosting, your domain, a platform upgrade the site needs to accept the changes, or a stock image licence. Where something like that is required, you are told the amount before it is bought, and you buy it yourself.

Turnaround is usually five business days for a full repair on a site up to ten pages, longer for larger sites. Single lines taken on their own are usually quicker, and your exact date is confirmed in writing before work begins.

Tell me at the start if any images already on the site are not yours to use, and if anything must not be changed — a legal disclaimer, a trading name, a phrase you are required to display. Everything else I treat as editable.

If a site turns out to be larger or more tangled than it looked, you hear that before any work starts — not as a surprise invoice afterwards.

How AI is used

Research, analysis and drafting are AI-assisted. Output is reviewed by a person and factual assertions are checked against the source material you supply.

These tools can produce incomplete or inaccurate results. No deliverable is warranted error-free, and you review everything before you use it. If specific material must not be processed using such tools, say so in writing before work begins.
